lineup of the Rockies to take out Max Scherzer and the
D'Backs. Jorge DeLaRosa takes the mound for the Rocks,
and despite his high ERA this season, and Scherzer
enjoying a solid year, the linesmakers have still
mysteriously made the Rockies favorites. We'll take a
shot with these Rockies, winners of 21 of their last 26
games! The D'Backs have dropped 4 straight to a lefty,
and 5 of their last 6 on the road. Incidentally, the
D'Backs are only 2-8 with high WHIP pitchers, and
DelaRosa fits this to a tee. Finally, new manager Jim
Tracy is a startling 11-2 after 4 consecutive road games
with the Rocks, and 11-3 after having won 4 out of his
last 5. The Rocks fit this parameter: Play On - Home
teams (COLORADO) - good offensive team (>=5.0 runs/game)
against a good starting pitcher (ERA<=3.70) (NL), after
allowing 2 runs or less 2 straight games. (62-25 since
1997.) (71.3%, +35.2 units. Rating = 3*) . We will ride
the hot team here, and take the Rockies!
